Industry Interest: Culinary Industry
Why An Officer?: I love being involved around CSU and want to see all things HEM grow and thrive. I’m passionate about all aspects of HEM studies and love getting to see everyone come together to better their skills and knowledge.
Fun Fact: I can play 6 instruments!

Industry Interest: Hotel Management
Why an officer?: I enjoy being involved and I wanted to create a space for students to network with each other. I also really enjoy the professional insight the club gives you when going on tours. My favorite part is seeing the spark that members get when they realize what they want their career to be after going on a tour. I wanted to become more involved in the decisions being made for networking events so I became an officer! Fun Fact: I have studied abroad in japan and speak Japanese.

Why An Officer?: I love the club and wanted to be more involved. In addition, I love everyone in the club and wanted to get closer with them!

Leandra Thorpe | 3rd Year
Industry Interest: Event Planning
Why an officer?: I love my major and wanted to be involved as much as possible, so I thought being an officer for the club would be a good way to do it. I love to talk about my major to anyone willing to listen and try to get more people to be part of the major. Being the event planner for the club has been a great opportunity to get more event experience. In addition to this it has been a great creative outlet for me to plan different fun activities for the club.
Fun Fact: I am minoring in American Sign Language 🤟

Why Club Advisor?: Since I first began teaching, I’ve always valued a close connection with students. Serving as the club advisor has allowed me to get to know soooooo many students outside of the classroom, many of whom I still keep in touch with after graduation.
Fun Fact: When I completed my Hospitality degree from CSU, we had a different name for the major. What it says on my diploma is “Restaurant and Resort Management.”
